There has been a recent increase in reports of fraudulent email and text solicitations for financial support, usually in the form of gift cards. These requests present themselves as if they are Fr. Bill and some of these fake addresses appear quite realistic. To minimize fraudulent impact, this is a reminder that our church/priest will NEVER make such appeals to our parish community. Delete these requests immediately without opening or responding. You may also report to the church office at 501 922-2062.

In the library is a marked basket to bring good Catholic magazines you receive and may like to share. Bring yours in and take one you would like to read. This is an "exchange/share" not an opportunity to dispose of unwanted periodicals. The goal is quality literature for our parishioners. Please no Give Us This Day or The Word Among Us.

Three couples will be grouped together and then arrange among themselves to share a simple dinner, lunch or brunch at alternate homes, once each month. Participants will enjoy getting to know their fellow parishioners better in an informal setting. It is a great way for newcomers to get acquainted with the members of their parish family. To sign up or is you have ques-tions call Nancy or Howard Emery at 815-861-0820 or email emeryfam@hotmail.com. Please provide your names, address, phone number and email address. Final signup date for this season is Sept. 29th. You will receive a letter/email with the three couples in your group the first week of October.
The next Kairos weekend is ORU30 which goes from 9/26-29, 2024. As we have done in the past before the start of a Kairos weekend, we come to you asking for Prayers.
1) Cookies: these must be purchased as packages of cookies and not homemade. Please do not provide chocolate coated cookies. Preferred cookies are Oreos, chocolate chip and other similar dry cookies. A plastic container labeled KAIROS will be in the back of the church to collect your cookies. Starting the weekend of September 7-8.
2) Meal Tickets: Meal Tickets cost $10 each, which buys a meal for a prisoner attending the weekend. We need you to print on it your first name only and what town you live in. These tickets allow a prisoner to realize that someone from the outside world was willing to be generous and let them know that we are all children of God.
3) Prayers: Prayer Sheets will be in the back on the table next to the Meal Tickets for those who will pray for all of us volunteers and prisoners attending the weekend. You need to print your first name only and your town.
Pietro Tomassi and Russell Tessier will be in the back following each Mass, the weekend of September
21/22 with both the meal tickets and prayer sheets.

Catechetical Sunday is a day to recognize those who serve as catechists and share their faith in Christ. This special collection supports the ministries of faith formation and evangelization. Half of the collection remains in the parish. The rest supports faith formation throughout the diocese.

It is always hoped that we can do this in a group setting with multiple inquirers, so please respond soon.
