Just a reminder that Sacred Heart offers Electronic Giving. You can make donations on the internet charging them to a credit card, or directly from your bank account. We hope this makes it easier for our parishioners to contribute. Simply follow these easy steps:
1. Visit the church website at http://www.hsvsacredheart.com.
2. Locate the Give Online/IRA/Stocks link located on the home page, then follow instructions to create your online profile and schedule your recurring contributions. The profile will include setting up a password and the credit card or bank account you would like to use. After that, you'll just need the password to enter.
3. The next page will include all contributions you might want to make. You can select monthly, weekly or a one-time contribution. We suggest that your Regular and Building fund contributions be done monthly on the same date each month, preferably the 5th and 15th, to make it easier for accounting and to reduce charges to the Church. The envelope contributions will all be listed along with the date on the envelope. This will enable you, if you wish, to schedule all of your contributions for the year at one time.
We recommend that you save the Giving Page in your Favorites to make it easier to access. If you need help or have any questions, please contact Larry Stein at 501-226-5105 or 501-204-9074.

"Spiritual direction is a process of being conformed to the image of Christ for the sake of others." Robert Mulholland
All of us long for a more conscious experience of God's presence and love. Eash of us has a sacred story unfolding and inviting our attention. Spiritual direction provides a space to notice, reflect, discern, and discover where God is present and active in our lives. Each season of life offers its unique challenges and opportunities--loss of loved ones, health concerns, diminishment due to aging. Reflecting on these with a trained spiritual director whose only desire is that you hear God answer your questions can be refreshing and comforting.
This ministry has been called a Holy Conversation or prayer time between three persons-the director or companion, the directee, and the Holy Spirit. God's spirit is ultimately the sole source of spiritual guidance, comfort, and knowing. Spiritual direction is an opportunity to step away and allow God the space to minister to you in the way only God knows is best for you. It can be good medicine for the soul.

Sacred Heart of Jesus offers balance, strength training and light to moderate aerobic activity classes. This is our "Fit 'n Balance," classes offered Tuesday and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in the Lower Hall. We also offer Chair Stretch & Balance and Mat Yoga on those same days at 1:00 p.m. Chair Stretch & Balance is in the Lower Hall and Mat Yoga is in the Upper Hall. Having good balance is an important way to prevent falls, but there are many benefits to regular exercise, especially as we age. Physical activity along with a healthy diet are two of the most important lifestyle factors that determine whether or not we age gracefully. Finding an exercise program that is fun and engaging is essential if we want to create a lasting habit. Senior citizens should choose an exercise program that they can continue to do over the course of time as their bodies change.
