This is the final weekend for registration of our two 22 week study programs (divided into 2, possibly 3 seven-week sessions).  Begining Monday, January 16th, Opening Your Heart: The Starting Point takes you on an exciting journey closer to the heart of God and helps you form a personal relationship with Christ and addresses answers to life's big questions through the Catholic Faith.  This session will meet Mondays from 3:00-4:30 pm.  Touching the Devine focuses on many qualities of Jesus revealed through the Gospel of John.  This study draws us into a deeper, loving relationship with Jesus as we reflect on his life and personality.  These sessions will be offered at two different times, on Mondays, the afternoon session from 1:00-2:30 pm and the evening session from 6:30-8:00 pm.  Total cost for each is $40 for the guide.  You may also register directly at walkingwithpurpose.com and pay the $40 plus shipping.  Questions??? As we begin the new calendar year, please note the following changes for daily Masses. The Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Masses (and Masses that occasionally occur on Mondays and always on first Saturday) will return to 9:00 am. The Wednesday Mass will return to 5:00 pm. Your patience and understanding are appreciated as a number of factors went into the decision and, as with almost anything, the reality is "you can't please everyone."

The new church calendars for the year 2023 will be available for parishioners the weekend of December 17/18 in the Narthex after all Masses. Please take one per family. Also, note that Cedarvale Funeral Home generously sponsored our calendar for this year.
The usual exercise classes will resume Tuesday, January 3rd.  As a reminder, these classes, Fit 'n Balanced are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 am and 11:30 am.  The Chair Stretch & Balance and Mat Yoga are offered at 1:00 pm. Please consider starting to participate in these classes in the new year and be blessed physically, mentally and even socially for the time and effort you put forth.
O, Jesus, look graciously upon our family here before you. Once more we consecrate ourselves before you-our trials and joys-that our home may ever be the shrine of peace, purity, love and faith.
O, Mary, loving Mother of Jesus, and our Mother, pray to Jesus for our family, for all the families of the world, to guard the cradle of the newborn, the schools of the young and their vocations.
O, Joseph, holy guardian of Jesus and Mary, assist us by your prayers in all the necessities of life. Be present at the pillow of the sick and dying so that we may all be united to Jesus and Mary and you for all eternity. Amen.
There is a new Sign-Up book on the credenza in the Narthex. The original was removed and has not been located. Please consider the privilege of signing up to bring up the gifts at whichever Mass you usually attend. This negates the ushers having to pursue gift bearers at the last minute. No special occasion necessary. If you have question, call Marian LaVelle at 501-209-2435.
Today a light will shine upon us, for the Lord is born for us; and he will be called Wondrous God, Prince of peace, Father of future ages: and his reign will be without end.

"Advent's intention is to awaken the most profound and basic emotional memory within us, namely, the memory of the God who became a child. This is a healing memory. It brings hope."

--Pope Benedict XVI
